Some Background Information To Set The Scene

We are a “newly wed” couple with three children from previous marriages between the two of us. Honey has two boys (G -10, and C- 6) and I have one boy (T -7). We also have three male cats and one kinda questionably male dog… You would think that I would be put on a pedestal as the only female in the house – however you would be wrong.

Honey was in remission from brain cancer when we started dating on Valentine’s Day 2009. A year later he put a ring on it and we were married in Vegas on 08/09/10 at 11:12 AM (cool, huh?).

Although I knew about the cancer even before we started seriously seeing one another, I really didn’t have even the remotest idea of what that meant. I put my blinders on and jumped in with both feet (as I am wont to do).

Seven months after our wedding, Honey came out of remission.

This blog is an effort to share what it is like to be a newlywed, a caregiver (and everything to everyone) and to give me a place to vent.

*please note that I am very likely to use cuss words. If that bothers you – then my truth may not be the one you are looking for.
